GUMC Worship Good Friday 2022

Good Friday is a service that commemorates Jesus' death as the Lamb of God who redeems all of humanity of our sins. Our Good Friday Service is in a way a continuation of our Maundy Thursday Service, which begins, the Passion narrative of Jesus Christ. Our service this year is a hybrid service that takes elements of the Tenebrae candle service, and a meditative/ prayer service. The tone is somber and prayerful. This Good Friday service is designed to end abruptly to leave us waiting for Easter Morning, in essence the service does not really end per se, as folks will be invited to stay and pray at the foot of Jesus' cross as long as they may need.
