GUMC Worship Palm Sunday

Today we celebrate Palm Sunday Which is the beginning of Holy Week in which we observe the Passion of Jesus Christ prior to Easter Sunday.
to day we also conclude our sermon series "Moving Forward".
our theme today is "A Day of Embracing" - we remember how Jesus triumphantly entered Jerusalem riding on a donkey and how the crowds embraced him as the messiah and chosen one sent by God the Father.

Embracing is a positive, proactive act that allows one to move forward into a new future. It’s an open heart that can both pray “thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” and “God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.” This kind of embracing embodies the unconditional love of God that flows outward to all, no strings attached.
